Terms of Service

Welcome to KATI.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the KATI application, website, and related services operated by MOAA TECH Nigeria Limited (“KATI”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

By creating an account or using KATI, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

KATI is a digital platform that enables users to purchase:

  • Airtime
  • Data bundles
  • Electricity tokens
  • Television subscriptions

KATI acts as a payment and service delivery platform.

We are not the underlying telecommunications provider, electricity distribution company, television provider, or biller. Services purchased through KATI remain subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant service provider.

2. Eligibility

By creating a KATI account, you confirm that:

  • The information you provide is accurate and up to date.
  • You are authorized to use the phone number associated with your account.
  • You are legally permitted to use KATI’s services under applicable laws.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into and be bound by these Terms.

You are responsible for ensuring that your account information remains accurate throughout your use of KATI.

3. Your Account

KATI accounts are linked to your phone number.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining control of your phone number.
  • Keeping verification codes private.
  • Securing your device.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and PIN.

Any activity performed using your account may be treated as authorized by you.

You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Payments and Transactions

All transactions are processed electronically.

Successful payments are considered final once confirmation is received from our payment or service partners.

If a service purchase fails after your wallet or payment method has been charged, KATI will make reasonable efforts to automatically reverse or credit the affected amount.

Processing times may vary depending on network providers, billers, banks, and third-party systems.

5. Wallet Funding and Refunds

Where wallet services are available:

  • Wallet funding is considered complete once payment confirmation is received.
  • Failed purchases may be returned to your KATI wallet.
  • Refund requests may be reviewed in accordance with applicable laws, payment provider requirements, and KATI policies.

KATI reserves the right to investigate suspicious refund requests.

6. Cashback and Promotions

KATI may offer cashback, discounts, rewards, or promotional campaigns from time to time.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Cashback is credited automatically after successful qualifying transactions.
  • Cashback has no cash value outside KATI.
  • Cashback cannot be withdrawn to a bank account.
  • Cashback may expire if unused.
  • Promotional offers may be modified, suspended, or withdrawn at any time.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use KATI for unlawful activities.
  • Attempt fraud, abuse, or unauthorized transactions.
  • Circumvent system limits or security controls.
  • Interfere with the operation of the platform.
  • Use automated tools to access KATI without authorization.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.

We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in suspicious, fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activities.

8. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Service interruptions may occur due to:

  • Maintenance
  • Technical failures
  • Network outages
  • Third-party provider issues
  • Events beyond our reasonable control

KATI is not responsible for delays caused by external service providers.

9. Intellectual Property

All KATI branding, logos, designs, software, content, and related materials are the property of MOAA TECH Nigeria Limited unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or exploit KATI content without written permission.

10. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access if:

  • You violate these Terms.
  • We suspect fraudulent activity.
  • We are required to do so by law.
  • Your actions create risk to KATI, other users, or our partners.

You may stop using KATI and delete your account at any time through the application settings.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • KATI provides its services on an “as available” basis.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
  • Our liability for any claim relating to a transaction shall not exceed the value of the affected transaction.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

12. Privacy

Your use of KATI is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using KATI, you acknowledge that your information will be collected and processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Updated versions will be posted within the application and on our website.

Continued use of KATI after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nigeria.
